Boys GAA
Here in Creagh College we offer both boys Hurling and Gaelic Football. We have
a variety of different teams playing in South Leinster and Leinster competitions, including 1st year, 2nd year, Junior and Senior level. Our teams have been extremely successful in these competitions and we have won titles at both Junior and Senior level. We aim to work with our local clubs and Wexford GAA to aid the development of our players.

Athletic Development Programme at Creagh College
Wexford GAA support Creagh College's boy GAA teams by providing the players with quality athletic development coaching in the school gym each week. These strength and conditioning sessions help boost players performance for their school, club and county in the short term but also aligns with their long term sporting development. Sessions are supervised by qualified coaches who tailor the programme to the specific needs of the students throughout the busy calendar or sporting events. This programme has benefited the students greatly and the ambition is to continue to build on the foundations in place and expand it in the future.

TY GAA/Oide Future Leaders programme
The “Future Leaders Transition Year Programme” is a joint initiative from the GAA and Oide, the support service for teachers and school leaders. It is a cross-curricular programme comprising of a series of modules designed to encourage maturity, initiative, responsibility and leadership skills in pupils. The Programme gives pupils the knowledge and skills to support all roles required in the effective staging of Gaelic Games. As part of the Programme students are challenged to organise and run both on-field and off-field events for younger students.
Some of the modules include Coaching, Refereeing, Nutrition, Sports Journalism, Event Management and Performance Analysis. Students take part in practical activities related to these modules and have organised events such as Primary Schools blitzes, Junior Cycle blitzes, community projects and a visit to Croke Park. The link between school and club is strengthened through coaching and referee courses completed, which enhances students skills in these areas.
